Reno Sparks Chamber, Washoe County School District to Announce Partnership of Leadership Reno Sparks Youth Program
For Immediate Release (9-8-09) - The Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce will be holding a Business Networking Breakfast on September 11 featuring WCSD Superintendent, Dr. Heath Morrison. The topic is WCSD: Alignment, Accountability, Accessibility and Achievement.
Reno Sparks Chamber Chair, Ralph Hartmann, will be announcing the newly formed partnership with the Washoe County School District on the Leadership Reno Sparks Youth Program. The program is designed to provide high school juniors with leadership development skills that will increase their knowledge and awareness of local issues through education and community involvement.
The breakfast takes place on Friday, September 11 at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. Doors open at 7:00 a.m. for business professionals to network and the program begins at 7:30 a.m.
"We are excited to partner with the Washoe County School District on this wonderful program." said Ralph Hartmann. "Nearly 500 juniors have graduated from the program since its inception in 1993."
